Your Path to Becoming a Guardian Certified Installer

Becoming a Guardian Certified Installer is a clear, structured process designed to support quality, compliance, and long-term business success. Guardian will guide you at every stage.

Step 1

Application & Documentation

Complete the Guardian Certified Installer application form and submit the relevant supporting documentation outlined within it. This includes business details, insurance information, guarantees, and compliance documentation required for Guardian certification and TrustMark registration.

All submissions are carefully reviewed by the Guardian team.

Step 2

Application Review & Approval

Your application and documentation are checked to ensure they meet Guardian’s quality, compliance, and customer service standards. If anything further is required, our team will contact you promptly to support you through the process.

Step 3

Mandatory Technical Training

All installers must attend a full-day Guardian technical training session, delivered by our Training Manager, Trevor Crossley.

This interactive session covers:

  • Best-practice installation of the Guardian Warm Roof
  • System components and correct sequencing
  • Common on-site challenges and how to avoid them
  • Open Q&A throughout the day

The training is practical, engaging, and designed to ensure consistent, high-quality installations.

Step 4

Knowledge Check

Following the training session, installers complete a short assessment to confirm understanding of the system and installation process. This helps maintain consistent standards across the Certified Installer network.

Step 5

Certification Confirmation

Once the training and assessment have been successfully completed, Guardian will formally confirm your status as a Guardian Certified Installer.

At this stage, you will gain access to:

  • TrustMark registration via Guardian’s Scheme Provider status
  • Guardian homeowner leads (where applicable)
  • Certified Installer marketing assets and support
  • Full technical and customer support services

Step 6

TrustMark Audit & Ongoing Quality Assurance

As part of the TrustMark scheme, Guardian Certified Installers are required to have one completed installation audited within a 12-month period.

The audit is a simple, remote process that involves:

  • Submitting a set of specified installation photographs
  • Providing key project information for review
  • Demonstrating compliance with Guardian installation standards

Step 7

A Supportive, Professional Partnership

The Guardian Certified Installer programme is designed to support you — not complicate your business. From application through to ongoing compliance, you’ll benefit from clear guidance, expert training, and a partnership focused on long-term success.
